ADMINISTRATION
This unit is the smooth operator of the Press. It manages all the administrative matters pertaining to publishing in term of all of its financial implication, as the secretariat for meetings with other publishers on its governing body, which is the Malaysian Scholarly Publishing Council or popularly known as MAPIM.
The administrative unit is also the voice of the Press should there be any matters that need to be addressed to the top management of the university.

EDITORIAL
This unit is the heart of the Press, the first step in making a mark in the literary arena. The team consisting of copy editors, graphic designers, layout artists as well as an administrative assistant ensures friendly and quality service to anyone who walks through its door. Each day this unit receives at least 10 manuscript submission. Therefore, sufficient and reasonable amount of time is absolutely required to polish unedited literary works through multiple publishing stages that varies in length, depending on the nature of the manuscript.
WHAT DO WE PUBLISH?
Albeit being a university press that of course publishes academic genre, we do accept other genre that still has educational touches, to cater to the society at large. Therefore, our authors are not limited to those in the teaching profession. Just follow these simple rules:
• Type your work in Times New Roman 12.
• Provide us with unedited high-resolution pictures if you wish to use your own. Otherwise, we will find the suitable images free from copyright infringement to go with parts of the texts that are intended to be followed by a pictorial aid for enhanced understanding or for more immersive reading experience. Our graphic artists will design few covers for you to choose from.
• References in APA style.
Here are the books that we look forward to receive:
Text book
A book used as a standard work for the study of a particular subject. Minimum 50 pages beginning from the first page of the first chapter. Minimum five (5) chapters.
Reference book
A book intended to be consulted for information on any subject, with detailed information/arguments supporting the subject matter. Minimum 50 pages beginning from the first page of the first chapter. Minimum five (5) chapters.
Chapters in book
A collection of chapters under one theme, which is the main title of the book by various authors, coordinated by an editor. Minimum 50 pages beginning from the first page of the first chapter. Minimum five (5) chapters.
Laboratory manual
Works containing concise background information and directions for activities, including conducting experiments or diagnostic tests in the laboratory. Minimum 50 pages beginning from the first page of the first chapter. Minimum five (5) chapters.
Research book
- A document on research findings funded by grants.
- A thesis rewritten in simpler presentation suitable for general reading. This requires permission from the university that granted the degree (Master’s/PhD).
- A documented professorial lecture targeted at audience from related field of the written work.
NOTE: We do not accept a manuscript that is still in research/thesis format
Work book
A student's book containing instruction and exercises relating to a particular subject.
General
Non-fiction: Motivational books, recipe books (with some information of the history/origin of the menu/dish, benefits of consumption, nutritional values, etc), auto/biography, coffee table (informative in nature, with texts to tell the story the accompanied pictures), general reference (for any subject matters).
Fiction with educational values: Novels, anthology, children’s book.
WHAT DO WE REJECT
We do not publish works that do not have a wide readership/market and for internal circulation/readership (annual report, strategic planning, university documents, etc).
We also reserve the right to reject, even after approval upon receiving the complete manuscript:
1. manuscripts that do not fulfil the requirements as listed above,
2. written works that could affect the credibility of the authors (i.e: citations exceed original writing).
3. Manuscripts containing sensitive contents (racism, profanities, political inclinations, libel, etc).

Journal
JOURNAL
This unit manages all journal publication matters. There are more than 50 academic journals indexed by Scopus, MyCite, ACI and ESCI. For the coordination of this process, this unit works closely with Impact and Research Ethics Unit. In addition, this unit also assists the chief/managing editors of each journal in obtaining the ISSN and e-ISSN from the National Library of Malaysia.
Sales And Marketing
SALES AND MARKETING
As the name implies, this unit sells and markets all the published works, on the shelves of the Press’ book store as well as via e-commerce, namely Shopee and Lazada. In addition, book by UiTM Press are also available in electronic version sold in an e-book platform, MindAppz; few other e-book platforms will also be made available for our customers to experience.
As aggressive marketing goes, the team goes all out to make the books available to students and non-students, organising book sales at faculties and campuses, during celebrations such as convocations and Merdeka, as well as participating in major book fests namely, Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair.
Everyone is welcome to enjoy and buy books published by UiTM Press at the book store located at Kompleks Usahawan.
